We are excited to announce that we have started work on four new and exciting homes at Mountain View, that should be completed during the early part of next year.
Stand 52 and 55 are the first of our Speculation Units that Teak Place is constructing. These units are the result of months of design, fine tuning and market research to provide the full Teak Place package at a cost that is affordable to clients in our target market. These homes will be marketed and sold as completed dwellings with all of the architectural and unique character that we have come to expect from homes on this special Estate.
This is incredibly exciting, as these two homes represent the first of many of these Speculation Units that are scheduled to be started on the open stands in Teak Village next year.
The response from the market to these designs has been amazing and we are already getting lots of interest in Speculation Homes that have not even been built yet. A fantastic sign that we have a truly unique product that is in demand in South Africa at the moment.
One of these success stories is the last remaining Stand in Mountain View, Stand 51. This was originally earmarked as another prime location for a Speculation Unit. However, one of our clients loved the design so much that they “jumped the gun”, made a few changes and have now commissioned their very own hybrid version of our Speculation Units. A truly amazing home, with some of the best views at Teak.
This shows the beaty of the Speculation Unit Concept where clients can either get involved from the outset and create their dream home, or choose from a selection of already completed Speculation Units that will start popping up next year. All we know is that we need to keep building and the teams are ready to take on this challenge.

As some of you may have noticed, there have been some new faces at Teak over the past few months. It gives us great pride to introduce the following:
Andrew Mason joined us in July this year and has already made a huge contribution to the running of Teakcon and particularly the administration of our various projects. Andrew is an integral part of the management of the construction of our homes and forms a critical connection between client, suppliers and the construction team. While doing all of this, Andrew was also able to complete his Quantity Surveying Degree at Wits. Quite an achievement.
Patrick is our new Maintenance Consultant. There are very few maintenance problems that Patrick cannot solve and he has already proved invaluable in assisting with any issues experienced by our residents in their homes. We are very lucky to have someone with Patrick’s experience that is just a phone call away when something goes wrong.
During the month of October, we hosted yet again another very successful Teak Trail Dash in conjunction with WannaDo Events. Runners were again put to the gruelling test of the 11km trail which takes runners up to the highest point within the Estate. The views at the top are definitely well worth the climb and wobbly legs. We want to thank WannaDo Events, 32Gi and our runners for another wonderful morning out.

Our Malinios’ have come on in leaps and bounds with their protection training during the year of 2022. Our training is offered by AVk9 on site and our dogs absolutely love their sessions with the trainers and decoys. Our dogs play a vital role in our security solution on the Estate and we are very proud of how far they have come.
As we approach the end of year, and our teams are all already enjoying their well-deserved breaks, we want to take this opportunity to wish our teams, residents, and clients a safe and happy festive season and look forward to what 2023 holds.
